Salary: R26 000 – R30 000 p/m (neg on exp)

Overall role: Quality Control manager must ensure the quality standards for the wine estate
operations

Requirements and skills

• BSc Food Science/ Microbiology degree
• Min of 5 year’s Quality control experience in a wine producing environment
• Sound communication skills
• Management skills
• Self-starter, motivated & attention to detail
• Strong problem solving skills

Responsibilities

• Development & maintenance of quality management and food safety systems (Incl. HACCP, IPW, assistance with WIETA, Fairtrade & BSCI).
• Manage & ensure quality by online control testing of all production processes
• Record and assist in investigation and solving of client complaints
• Ensure quality compliance of dry goods, including machine pass of new products, intake QC, etc.
• Manage labs & quality control assistants
• Manage supplier & product approvals
• Manage supply chain mapping & supplier site updates
• Develop & maintain material & product specifications
• Assistance in new product development & problem solving
