QUALITY ENGINEER (Automotive)

Requirements:
National or Higher Diploma/BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering
5 Years’ experience in similar position
Knowledge of various automotive components and their function
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
Be computer literate – MS Office
Good presentation skills
Be able to engage in shift work
Responsibilities:
Responsible for securing satisfactory parts to production immediately to minimise production disruption through introducing a sorting and rework action on deviating supplier purchase parts directly with the supplier or with an external rework service provider
Conduct initial root cause analysis and report the faults immediately to the Parts Quality Engineer to ensure timeous problem resolution with the supplier
Define and establish clear and adequate rework instructions, standards and rework processes to ensure proper rework introduction
Conduct regular rework process verification to ensure rework standard adherence and to address non-conformities immediately
Effectively co-ordinate the rework activity until introduction of satisfactory parts and ensure that containment measures are short term inclined
Ensure the successful recovery of sorting and rework cost from the suppliers
Actively participate in daily Production Non Conformity Parts (NCP) meetings and initiate containment measures for purchase part relevant problems
