Quality Engineer with relevant tertiary qualification (Logistics/Finance or Marketing) and minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, required to ensure that all products produced meet quality standards to minimize cost and maximize customer satisfaction.

Minimum requirements:
• Tertiary qualification required – Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Finance or Marketing preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years’ Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing discipline required
• Relevant knowledge of accounting and financial documentation required
• Knowledge of supply chain management operations required
• Previous ISO internal auditing experience highly advantageous
• ISO TS16949 experience advantageous

Responsibilities:
• Determine, investigate and resolve nonconformance leading to losses/waste and in quality, cost and delivery schedule attainment
• Facilitate and support workstation and line Quick response Continuous Improvement and support
• Ensure corrective action processes are operating optimally
• Training
• Support Design and Engineering Departments
• Conduct project phase and milestone reviews
• Compile and review checklist plan for new projects
• Control plans
• SOP’s
• Verify preproduction parts – measurement and analysis
• Ensure all project steps are taken to produce a product ready for serial production
• Support implementation of QMS
• Improve quality, delivery and cost through quality strategy deployment, process analysis, risk management and continuous improvement
• Map processes
• Determine and mitigate risk in processes
• Audit processes re compliance to procedure, effectiveness and opportunities
• Analyse and manipulate data
• Input re manufacturing parts/products and delivery services
• Control quality related costs
• Set up and publish visual aids and displays
• Facilitate change
• Formulate, plan and implement continuous improvement activities
• Ensure best operating practices are implemented and adhered to
• Achieve savings targets
• Implement cost control programs and measures
• Report and graphs to management re savings, operations, audit trends, performance, etc
