Minimum requirementsL

Technical University Degree
Minimum of 5 years in quality department in automotive manufacturing environment
Previous experience working with customer quality resolution advantageous


Duties:

Support client  (internally / externally) in ensuring integrity / quality of leads / deliveries to Assembly / Customer. Support client on quality issues raised and resolution thereof. Support Changes / APQP activities.
Manage Lead Prep auditor activities (including overtime pre-approvals and overtime submission before salary cut-off dates).
Define and coordinate inspection activities with all quality inspectors in Lead Prep area.
Collect data for IPPM in Lead Prep and top defects. Highlight any issues highlighted by Lead Prep Quality Auditors and report quality performance results in Lead Prep daily.
Initiate the preliminary analysis of any quality issue reported at customer (Applicable to Lead Prep area).
Support Customer Care Engineer / Quality Engineer - Assembly on any preliminary analysis of any quality issue
Support Customer Care Engineer on all containment activities in Lead Prep and report results daily.
Define and maintain internal procedures (according to client policies) in area of responsibility.
Review all Lead Prep processes to detect any potential quality issue.
Communicate to the team to analyse any quality concern. Track open issues within plant where unresolved issues exist. Highlight any major concerns that can jeopardize final quality to the Customer Care Engineer / Quality Manager.
Support Layered Process Audit Process and ensure that Lead Prep Auditors conduct weekly audits.
Process Auditor function - Schedule and Coordinate Process Audits in Lead Prep (Conducted by Quality Auditors in Lead Prep)
Report monthly on Process Audits (Schedule vs. Attainment / Pareto Areas / Pareto Concerns) to Quality Manager
Support initial and ongoing homologation activities initiated by engineering team or APQP Engineer.
Quality War Room Team Member
Update monthly Lead prep TOP 5 Defects Action Plan in Quality War Room
Ensure Deviation Process is followed
Ensure Material Flowback Process is followed and issues are closed out – after containment / rework and 5 Why / Material Flowback Register completed. Report monthly to Quality Manager.
Support Rework Process and ensure that quality inspectors / auditors sign-off on all reworks in the lead prep area. Ensure Rework Register is kept up to date. Report monthly to Quality Manager. Major repairs to harnesses must have rework guideline from engineering.
Responsible for respecting the technologies, procedures and work instructions.
Review Quality metrics in Area and ensure that data and targets are correct
Inform the Quality Manager and other departments about any specific quality problems.
Maintain all records within area of responsibility.
Ensure all subordinates have received relevant training and are competent in their activities performed
Responsible for respecting client and customer safety and environmental rules
Learn the rules; understand them; follow them; and avoid short cuts;
Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself, your co-workers, and equipment free of hazards;
Be certain that you completely understand instructions before starting work;
Safeguard any information considered as privileged from customer or client
Closely cooperation with rest of team members to achieve goals. 
Knowledge of and follow the HS&E standards and how they are applied.
