A Healthcare Company who is passionate about providing Clinical Care to HIV positive adults, children and adolescents is currently looking for a dynamic and driven Quality Improvement Advisor in Klerksdorp to join their team.

Main purpose of the job
To implement an innovative technical assistance programme to strengthen and improve HIV and TB related outcomes by strengthening health and patient management systems at facility and sub-district levels in line with key DoH strategies.

Key performance areas
• Support facilities and sub-districts to conduct and analyse assessments and file audits
• Link with Facility Manager for QI planning and monitoring
• Apply QI methodology to ensure effective care cascading from HIV testing to retention in care and referrals
• Clinical mentorship and training including supporting queue while DoH staff are being trained on-site
• Psychosocial support
• PHC re-engineering

Education, Training and Experience
• Post basic nursing qualification (PHC or psychology preferred)
• Valid South African drivers’ license
• South African Nursing Council
• Minimum of 3 years’ public health experience
• Post qualification including at least 2 years’ HIV experience
• Demonstrated understanding of psychosocial issues relating to HIV and other chronic illnesses
• Comfortable in managing paediatric, adolescent, pregnant and adult patients from both clinical and psychosocial perspective (NIMART)
• Applied understanding of quality improvement (including data interpretation)
