MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The implementation, management and improvement of systems, procedures and processes to ensure service and quality compliance.
• Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation
• Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are met;
• Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues;
• Assessing suppliers' and product specifications and customer requirements;
• Working with procurement to establish quality requirements from external suppliers;
• Ensuring compliance with quality related standards and legislation;
• Ensure compliance to GMP’S, HACCP and FSSC standards are implemented and maintained.
• Participate in developing and agreeing standards and establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply;
• Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
• Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation
• Collating and analysing performance data and charts against defined parameters;
• Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary;
• Writing technical and management system reports;
• Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications;
• Establishing standards of service for customers or clients;
• Foster and promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation
• Management representative for quality management system
• The compilation of an internal audit roster and allocation of resources for internal audits
• Managing and reporting on internal and external audits
• Assisting in the completion of external audit finding reports
• Organizing quality system related training for the workforce
• Identify training needs within the department and facility
• Perform induction training of newly appointed staff around ISO, GMP, HACCP and health and safety requirements
• Enhancement and modification of the system to meet the changing business requirements
• Manage the product safety & quality programme
• Develop, maintain and improve quality policies and procedures
• Supporting the implementation of a product safety & quality management system and procedures
• Supporting quality control in all departments and training of relevant personnel
• World class manufacturing programme and product safety & quality control
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Post Matric quality management qualification essential
• Minimum of five (5) years working experience in similar position essential
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• High level of computer literacy (standard Microsoft Packages)
• Excellent knowledge of various QMS
