QUALITY MANAGER

Purpose of the position:

To promote quality throughout The Company by assuring compliance to an effective quality management system and the continuous improvement of our processes through the facilitation of problem solving and the process of change

Key output areas:
Provide advice and support on the implementation of a Quality System
• Promote the importance and benefit of Quality
• Develop and implement Quality Systems (ISO 9000/14001)
• Monitor compliance with Quality Systems
Facilitate team problem solving and decision making
• Apply problem solving and decision making techniques and principles
• Facilitate team problem solving
Facilitate organisational change
• Facilitate and plan for organisational change
• Facilitate change implementation
• Apply World-Class Manufacturing Principles
Manage QA/QC Function
• Ensure conformance to specifications and standards
• Optimise process capability
• Lead Quality Projects
• Control fixed and variable costs
Manage Human Resources (level 3)
• Develop employees
• Ensure a healthy industrial relations climate
• Manage and apply personnel practices

Minimum Requirements:

1. National Diploma in Quality Management or similar qualification.
2. Experience in leading and managing the QA/QC function in a MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT (Manufacturing of Industrial products i.e. Electrical/Mechanical)
3. Experience in providing advice and supporting the implementation of a Quality System
4. Analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
5. Experience in and knowledge of facilitating organisational change
6. Experience in solving problems
7. Experience in managing and developing human resources
8. Experience in implementing World Class Manufacturing practices and principles
9. Collect, analyze, organize and critically evaluate information
10. Good communication and interpersonal skills
