QUALITY MANAGER

Purpose of the position:

To promote QUALITY throughout The Company by assuring compliance to an effective quality management system and the continuous improvement of our processes through the facilitation of problem solving and the process of change

Key output areas:
1. Ensure company is adequately manned w.r.t Quality representatives.
2. Design and implement a Quality plan for the Organisation
3. Develop and implement a Quality policy and procedure.
4. Co-ordinate the development and implementation of an integrated Quality management system
5. Advise management on the inherent organisation deficiencies and the eradication thereof
6. Drive supplier development processes
7. Manage certification processes and requirements
8. Manage staff output on a daily basis.
9. Manage staff timekeeping and lost time.
10. Manage staff work performance.
11. Mentor, coach and develop staff.
12. Ensure proper security of organization intellectual property.
13. Formulate and control department budget in conjunction with the Financial Manager.
14. Implement and evaluate performance indicators for all personnel.
15. Ensure all procedures and works instructions are in place.
16. Ensure in conjunction with fellow Managers correct process flows with all departments
17. Health and safety ISO 14001
18. Environmental ISO 18000
19. ISO 9001 (exposure to ISO 2015 advantageous)

Minimum Requirements:

1. National Diploma in Quality Management or similar qualification.
2. Min 5 years experience gained as a Quality Manager with in a Manufacturing environment.
3. Experience in leading and managing the QA/QC function in a MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
4. Experience in providing advice and supporting the implementation of a Quality System
5. Analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
6. Experience in and knowledge of facilitating organisational change
7. Experience in solving problems
8. Experience in managing and developing human resources
9. Experience in implementing World Class Manufacturing practices and principles
10. Collect, analyze, organize and critically evaluate information
11. Good communication and interpersonal skills
