Our Client within the Manufacturing Industry, has a vacancy for an experienced Quality Manager to join their team in Paarl.

ISO and BRC standards and regulations
Quality testing and controls

Duties Include:
Implementation and monitoring of standards: ISO and BRC
Implementation of ISO standards across the factory
Ensure SOP, work instructions and training programs are implemented and complete
Assist and aid non-conformances (internal and external)
Assist with customer complaints: Identify problems and ensure corrective action has been taken to rectify problems and complaints
Conduct audits across departments for all areas for ISO and BRC
Develop and implement controls, work-orders, maintenance and Quality control and housekeeping documents and processes
Maintenance schedules for machinery
Manage ISO and BRC audits and certification processes
Quality
Ensure employees comply with processes set forth in training manuals and processes (ISO and BRC standards)
Ensure products comply with quality standards
Train employees in regard to quality control tests and analysing the final product
Other: General assistance
Ordering of specific sundries: Food safety items (hair nets and ear plugs), PPE, machine parts (Meat pads and Bag machine), food safe cleaning solutions for food safe areas, general factory cleaning agents
Facilitate meetings (if required)
Manage contractors for plumbing and general maintenance (if required)
Assist with any production issues (day-to-day)
Pest control (in line with ISO and BRC requirements)
Fire extinguishers (servicing frequency and usage: in line with health and safety requirements)
Hyster / forklift maintenance and usage: Ensure staff adhere to company policies
Manage adhoc projects on behalf of managing director (if required)
Meat pads and Bag product champion
Ensure staff are trained and equipped to operate the machinery effectively
Ensure staff and trained to maintain the machinery: Operational machine checklist and maintenance register
Manage suppliers for food safe products: Ensure products conform to food safe requirements
Raw material checks, cleaning solutions and packing instructions are aligned to food safe guidelines
Market related salary, negotiable depending on experience.
