Our client in the automotive component manufacturing industry is looking to employ a Quality Technician with a minimum of 3 years' quality experience in an automotive industry
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- B Tech Quality degree or equivalent.
- 3 years quality experience within an automotive industry.
- 1 year supervisory experience within a similar role.
- Microsoft Office (intermediate).
- Report Writing Skills.
- Knowledge and experience in Development, Implementation and Auditing.
- Able to solve problems and make decisions using problem solving tools.
- Knowledge of Quality Management System requirements in terms of : -
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
• IATF16949,
• VDA 6.3 and VDA6.5
• PPAP / APQP
• MSA (measurement Systems Analysis)
• SPC (Practical and applied)
• FMEA’s
• Control Plans and Customer Specific Requirements
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify weaknesses through Pareto analysis and determine production action.
- Ensure that Final Product audits are carried out.
- Conduct audits related to received complaints and concerns from the relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure containment actions are implemented.
- Participate in root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
- Evaluate effectiveness of corrective action.
- Collect and assess warranty claims.
- Control of early launch containment (GP12) process.
- ISER review and approval.
- Product audits as per customer requirements.
- Weekly and monthly reporting (QPI, KPI, monthly claims and PPM)
- Ensure effective team work practices according to company requirements and best practices.
- Attend to customer complaints and visit customers as required
- Product quality review in production.
Salary between R22000 & R28000 plus car allowance of R7455 plus medical aid, provident fund and bonus
