A banking leader seeks a Quantitative Analyst to apply mathematical and statistical methods to financial and risk management problems. He/she will develop and implement complex models used by guide business decisions in a division with a focus on rewards, eCommerce and acquiring of new innovative business ideas and products for the Group and securing Business partnerships.

The analyst will:
• Build models to guide the business and assist with financial, decisions
• Understand general commercial principles
• Provide business with a better understanding of relevant data/trends/behaviours
• Pro-actively suggest new opportunities and making analytical observations beneficial to the business

Qualifications and experience:
• Mathematical/Analytical B.Sc. degree or B.Com Informatics
• 3 years’ experience in an analytical and modelling position (preferably in the banking, short term insurance or rewards space)
• Quantitative and analytical skills
• Financial modelling skills
• SAS programming preferable (or background) in another programming)
• Good understanding of business requirements
• Understanding of trend analyses, sensitivity analyses and build scenarios
• Good understanding of the inter relatedness of numbers within a model
• Good interpretation skills
• Advanced Excel knowledge
