FIXED TERM CONTRACT ENDING MAY 2016

The Democratic Alliance is seeking to appoint a Quantitative Research Officer in their Federal
Head Office based in Cape Town. The successful candidate will report to the Senior
Quantitative Research Officer with an indirect reporting line to the Call Centre Manager and
should meet the following requirements:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

? Conducting market research of the highest quality by using quantitative research
techniques consistently

? Identifying and giving feedback about issues of political importance not adequately
captured by research instruments

Prospective applicants should meet the following requirements:

? Proficiency in English & Afrikaans
? Matric certificate
? Previous survey fieldwork experience advantageous
? Basic computer literacy
? Excellent telephone etiquette
? Commitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the Democratic
Alliance
? Self-motivated and dynamic
? Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
? Prepared to work long and irregular hours
? Systematic, comprehensive and displaying excellent attention to detail
? Self-starting, taking initiatives and striving to improve his or her performance
? Able to accept responsibility and be accountable for work standards
? Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
? Outcomes-orientated, not simply task-orientated
