Quantity Surveyor (Construction)
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
Salary: R30 000 p.m

Our client in the Construction industry is looking for a Quantity Surveyor.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit claims for payment.
• Prepare and submit variation orders.
• Preparation of contract related documents.
• Liaison with engineers’ representative.
• Liaison with site agent, subcontractors and other parties involved on the projects.
• Prepare subcontractor claims.
• Prepare cost reports, tender evaluations and sub-contractor appointment schedules for approval by Contracts Manager.

Requirements
• Must have a BSc in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of five years’ experience in the construction industry as a quantity surveyor.
• Have good attitude and mannerism.
• Good administrative skills and knowledge of Principal Building Agreements.
• Hands on site measurement skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to function independently.
• Languages (Written & Spoken)
• Good command of the English language
