JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: Prepare cost estimates for construction projects to assist management in bidding on or determining price of product or service. Provides daily updated information and compile reports and certificates to/with site management; write-up monthly payment certificates; records additional work and variation claims. Establish full control of costing system & change in scope of work.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
• Provide financial progress report to management and client
• Perform site administration duties (Including Payment Certificates, Onsite Measure and Claims)
• Perform Commercial and or production control
• Establish measurement and quantities
• Comply with contractual requirements
• Site establishment project planning
• Daily costing
• Recognition of claim / deviation
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• ND / BSc / BTech Quantity Surveying
• Relevant certificates/programmes and short courses
EXPERIENCE:
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in the same or similar role, CCS, Buildsmart and MS Word preferable or relevant packages to the Mechanical and Electrical environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• The capacity for working with numbers and numerical/mathematical concepts. It includes specific aptitudes such as computation, statistical interpretation, facility with mathematical concepts, arithmetic reasoning, etc.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
• The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
