QUANTITY SURVEYOR

A Paarl based construction company has an opportunity for a top performing Quantity Surveyor to join their Civil Services team.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Relevant Tertiary Qualification
3-5 years’ experience
Experience in Civil Services – Storm and Sewage

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan daily for following days activities.
Ensure that sufficient materials are available alongside trenches.
Monitor progress against target and report.
Locate and expose all existing services prior to each day's work.
Ensure that team leaders and operators have all the information prior to starting the work process.
Train students and tachi-sighters.
Check all benchmarks, survey beacons and existing connection points for accuracy.
Report any discrepancies from plan or existing information.
Check levels of previous day, especially where work has to continue.
Ensure that each team has line and level in place to start work timeously.
Locate all indicated existing services report line and level clashes.
Check and observe level and line during pipe laying.
Report any deviations immediately.
Responsible for the recovery of survey material (droppers and pegs)
