QUARRY FITTER, BLOEMFONTEIN, RNEG

ONLY BLOEMFONTEIN & SURROUNDING AREAS CANDIDATES WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR APPLICATION
TRADE TEST FITTER / BUSY WITH BOILERMAKER TRADE TEST + MUST HAVE EXP IN QUARRY / MINING ENVIRONMENT + EXP CUTTING TORCH & WELDING + EXP ON MAINTENANCE OF CRUSHING PLANT.

The incumbent will be required to perform various tasks inherent to the position such as:

• Maintenance of Crushing Plant, Conveyors, scales, crushers, feeders, Bell Equipment, etc.
• Liaise with Controller regarding the upgrading and repairs of plant equipment.
• Effective dust suppression implementation and maintenance
• Comply with the company’s Health & Safety Policy & Minerals & Petroleum Act.
• Attend the daily workshop meeting.
• Repair defective equipment by fabricating and or welding items.
• Assist in mobile plant repairs by working with maintenance staff.
• Assist in crushing plant repairs and inspections by working with maintenance personnel.
• Assist in the Department's good housekeeping
• Work overtime when instructed by his supervisor.
• Perform any other reasonable task given by the supervisor.
• Participate in the Company's Safety Programme by following Safety Regulations.
• Perform standby duties when the name appears on the standby list.
• Construction and erection of approved new installations.
• Developing of crushing and conveying equipment.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
GR 12
Studying towards boiler making.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
The successful candidate will have :
Ideally must have experience in a quarry, mining environment.
Cutting torch and welding will serve as an advantage on the technical skills.
