QUARRY FOREMAN, NELSPRUIT, RNEG + BEN

GRADE 12 + FITTER/ MILLWRIGHT TRADE + OPEN CAST MINE BLASTING CERTIFICATE + 5 YEARS EXP IN QUARRY/ STONE CRUSHING INDUSTRY. Bring innovative new ideas into drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, crushing, screening, quarry development and rehabilitative activities.

The incumbent will be required to perform various tasks inherent to the position such as:

• Running a section of the Quarry under guidance of Quarry Manager
• Ensure maintenance schedules on all mobile plant equipment are carried out.
• Liaise with Fixed Plant Controllers
• Liaise with suppliers regarding the availability, pricing and procurement of spares for
production equipment.
• Maintaining of dust suppression and relevant systems.
• Maintenance of a high standard of product quality.
• Manage and develop employees.
• Management and planning of production to set KPI’s.
• Manage health, safety and environmental programmes.
• Updating of Quarry KPI’s
• Participate in budget discussions and planning

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Applicants must possess a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification and be in a possession of a
recognised Trade Test Certificate.
• A valid Open Cast Mine Blasting Certificate would be an advantage
• A minimum of 5 years experience, ideally in the stone crushing/quarry industry.
