Location: Durban, KwaZulu Natal.

Description: A diversified manufacturer and distributor of products, delivery systems and services to local and international markets is seeking an R&D Chemist to join their team. The candidates responsibilities will include: conducting market, product and application research studies; developing new products and technology platforms; ability to conduct plant trials locally and internationally; assist marketing and sales with market development of new products and applications; improving current technology platforms and synthesis of new molecules and characterization.

Requirements: A BSc or BTech Chemistry (MSc would be an advantage); a minimum of 4 years’ experience in an R & D environment; experience in field trials and a proven track record in product development are essential.

Additional Requirements: Planning and organizing; written communication; verbal communication; attention to detail; innovation and quality orientation.

Remuneration: Market related.
