R & D Food Technologist (Seasoning / Flavours)

Educational Requirements:
Matric
Relevant food technology Degree / Food Industry Qualification (Must Have)

Experience Requirements:
Must have at least 3 - 4 years’ practical experience in R & D Flavor / Seasoning background (Must Have)
Must have experience working in food flavoring manufacturing company
Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements regarding nutrition, packaging, ingredients etc.
Must have working knowledge of HACCP, FSSC, ISO and food safety requirements
Must be computer literate in Word, Excel, Outlook
Must be well spoken and able to communicate effectively
Own Transport

Responsibilities:
Assisting with the development, management, sustainment and cost-effective products within portfolio
Developing & implementing innovation of new products
Launching new products
Recipe innovation / development of new products or re – engineering existing products
Accurately draft & update product specifications
Developing products based on the brief given
Product testing
Reporting on product analysis
Assisting with costing of products
Completion of trial products
Managing timelines of product development
Monitoring performance by collecting relevant information necessary for statistical reports
Updating and maintaining all relevant documentation and control procedures
Ensuring policy and procedures are adhered to
Completing any other tasks associated with quality control as required
Meeting product development deadlines

Additional information:
Salary R10 000 – R14 000 (CTC, max) per month
Looking for candidates within the PTA / Centurion area
Own transport
