Main Duties:To give guests a complete experience and a perfect stay by ensuring guests are experiencing the highest standard of the safari experienceTo ensure that guests are safe and secure at all times and that the Ranger is in controlTo ensure all interaction with guests are professional, warm, welcoming and personalizedTo be able to host guests when requiredTo regularly update all courses, for example firearm and first aid training.To create a friendly and inviting environment and to uphold the image of Royal Malewane at all timesTo assist other departmentsTo take full responsibility for the game-drive vehicles, fire-arms, and all other equipmentTo ensure that all rangers and trackers understand legal procedures at the lodgeTo do bush walks with guests Requirements & Qualifications for this positionWe are looking for individuals that have a thorough knowledge of local fauna and flora, and all other aspects that will ensure a complete guiding experience The best candidate must be passionate, energetic and hardworking and have strong communication skills, as well as organisational and leadership qualities..Please note that applicants are required to have a minimum of 10 years’ experience and a minimum of 1200 hours on foot in dangerous game areas. The best candidate should be a FGASA level 3 guide, with SKS DG & SKS birding qualifications being an advantage. The best candidate should be able to stay calm under pressure.
