GC Rieber Compact situated in Muizenberg is a branch of its Norwegian counterpart. The company specialises in the production of unique food products for malnutrition, preparedness and maritime survival.

This position is in the production department and the incumbent will report to the Production Manager.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the following duties:

• Adhering to quality and food safety policies
• Adhering to operating and food safety specifications
• Stock control – receiving, transporting, (re)palletising, counting, delivering
• Maintenance of stock records
• Performing quality checks on raw materials
• Managing FIFO (First In, First Out) of stock
• Stock rotation
• Issuing of raw materials and packing materials
• Warehouse maintenance and general housekeeping
• Operation of AX System (resource planning system)

Requirements:

• Matric with Maths
• computer literate (MS Office)
• 2 years’ food safety and factory experience
• 2 years’ warehouse operation experience
• strong communication skills
• detail oriented
• reliable / consistent personality
