As Team Leader Raw and Traded materials planner, you will support and manage raw material planning. Responsibilities will include leading the raw / traded materials team by coaching and challenging all individuals in order to reach best possible performance and atmosphere. Sounds interesting? • Lead and manage raw and traded materials purchasing
To promote employee development and support business continuity, the incumbent's portfolios may be rotated based on manager's discretion.
Hold regular meetings to ensure consistent information flow.
Update departmental role profiles and set individual targets.

• Communication
Excellent communication skills need to be displayed when dealing with suppliers, internal & external customers and other departments.
A positive attitude should be displayed at all times to ensure a motivated team.

• Planning and Reporting
Run a shortage report daily to see which orders are late and which need to be placed
Expedite and de-expedite raw materials based on requirements to avoid stock outs and obsolescence.
Run open orders report and convert open purchase orders
Inform Planning /Procurement Manager regarding pricing error, raw material exceed contract
Place urgent sample orders with Regional Sampling Lab
Track and Follow-Up with Forwarders raw material ETA
Action daily KPI report send and re-align late purchase orders delivery dates in SAP based on confirmation of estimated time of arrival from the forwarders.
Receiving and Recording 3rd Party Suppliers pre-shipment samples in SAP and send samples to QC for testing
Communicate timely all raw material delay to the Production Planners and update raw material ETA spread sheet report
Manage Inventory timely to meet requirements, safety stock levels, forecast to avoid obsolete
Meet budgets and targets set for KPI
Adhere and Follow ISO,OHS guidelines and other regulations
Follow up cross functionally on raw materials availability.
Liaise with Regional Planning issues regarding under, over Safety Stock and Forecasted raw materials

Your professional profile includes:
• Matric
• Degree / Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain /Stock Control
• SAP experience essential.
• Advance micro soft Excel is required
• Experience in Planning and Inventory Management
• Admin, Transport and Warehousing Knowledge
