RDD Engineer / Specialist

Type of Business:
A specialist installations, electronic maintenance and repair Services Company needs a qualified RDD Engineer/Specialist to lead and control progress on all new and current technologies within allocated portfolio and oversee successful completion of related projects within RDD.

Salary:
Negotiable depending on experience

Output to Customers:
• Conduct high level electronic technology research
• Set up high quality RDD technical laboratory
• Produce details of specifications and outline designs of systems
• Provide support to technicians/project team
• Improve and change the detailed designs of electronic equipment
• Apply systems analysis and prepare high level technical documentation
• Provide strong support to internal and external customers with focus on TAT and Quality
• Oversee all projects under portfolio

Training of technicians:
Qualifications and Experience:
• Electrical Eng Degree – preferably in Telecommunications
• Electronic system knowledge
• Extensive knowledge and experience on IP-based Telecommunications Systems
• IP Routing/Switching
• TDM Routing/Switching
• Professionalism in customer interaction.
• Test equipment understanding
• Exposure to ISO 9000
• Knowledge of OHSAct
• Component level repair experience
• Ability to work to and within Projects
• Strong Technical background
• Component level repair
• Strong Telecommunication Engineering background
• Analytical thinking
