Our client is looking to recruit for the role of Receiving Manager based in Meadowdale, reporting to Warehouse Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
•Recommend optimal transportation frequency into Branch.
•Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems.
•Create policies or procedures for inbound activities.
•Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet inbound requirements.
•Train receiving department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global receiving processes.
•Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training.
•Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized receiving processes.
•Resolve receiving problems when they occur.
•Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
•Ensure timelines are met to ensure effective running of the Inbound Function
•Supervise the work of Receiving Staff,
•Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
•Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes,
•Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes such as product volumes additional Staff and shifts.
•Direct inbound such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
•Analyze all aspects of Inbound to determine the most cost-effective manner.
•Communicate all delays problems or breakdown of procedure effectively to management and other stake holders.

Position Requirements
•The ideal candidate will have had 3 - 7 years’ experience in the logistics environment under the FMCG banner.
•Be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines and should have been involved in shift work operations.
•A clear understanding of and working experience of IT systems (ERP systems, WMS packages etc).
•An understanding of operating to a set budget in the warehouse and to control the running expenses will be a necessity.
•A good understanding of housekeeping standards are needed to be able to run a tidy and clean operation.
•A hands-on operator.
