An experienced Receptionist is needed for a Certified Top Employer (2014) for a hospitality group that thrives on team work, and employee engagement
Educational Requirements:
Grade 12
Tertiary Education in Hospitality beneficial
Major Skills Required:
2 Years Receptionist experience in the hospitality industry
5* experience beneficial
Computer literate
Protel/Fidelio/Opera
Reporting to:
Front Office Manager
Responsibilities
Ensure that you project a good image. This being efficiency, courtesy, helpfulness, appearance and cleanliness.
Ensure that the Reception areas are clean and neat at all times (including any flower arrangements).
Ensure that guest queries and complaints are being dealt with in an efficient, prompt and courteous manner, thus achieving guest satisfaction
Ensure that all incoming telephone calls are dealt with in an efficient and courteous manner.
Ensure that the switchboard is manned adequately at all times
Ensure that all enquiries and requests for quotations are dealt with immediately according to company procedure
Ensure that all guest profiles are entered correctly on the system and are routed to the correct company
Ensure that all guests are received and accommodated in an efficient and friendly manner
Ensure that all guest accounts are correct and ready on departure
Ensure that brochures, rate sheets and maps are neatly on display.
Promote the hotel and the group at all times, as well as special rates and conferencing packages.
Ensure the Front Office Manager is made aware of all complaints by using the complaints register.
Ensure that you are at all times well acquainted with all of the hotel’s tariffs and special offers, as well as with all facilities available to the guests.
