The successful candidate will report to the Electrical Foreman and amongst others, responsibilities will include:

FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work on electrical breakdowns and tasks when plant is in production
• Involvement in WCM Projects
• Work on planned outages or planned maintenance
• Complete plant inspection procedures according to the schedules from the SAP maintenance system.
• Assist with production problems if and when necessary.
• Ensure that he obey general Factory regulations.
• Ensure that he obey safety regulations and observe safety precautions as laid down in the applicable legislation.
• May do standby duties

KEY RESULT AREAS

• Keep the generators, lighting, and electrical systems in working order.
• Diagnose problems and then repair or replace defective parts.
• Periodic inspections of equipment to find defects before costly breakdowns occur.
• Test equipment and replace circuit breakers, cables and switches.
• Use wiring diagrams, blueprints, and other building specifications to plan repair work.
• Knowledge on use of instruments like meter, mega
• Advice management whether the problem can be corrected and whether business can continue as usual. If regular activities must be stopped, the electrician will have to estimate how long a shutdown will last.
• Participate in WCM activities as team member and be able to be a PM project team leader
• Complete all paperwork for breakdown management, planned maintenance etc
• Prepares schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of grade 12/ Matric
• Red seal certificate
• Minimum three years industrial experience
• Preferably someone with manufacturing experience
