Description:
An industry leader in the refrigeration industry has a position available for a Refrigeration Technician. The ideal candidate should be meticulous in their work and able to take initiative to solve unforeseen problems. Being able to take responsibility in a leadership role when required will be highly valued. The ideal candidate must be able to carry themselves in a professional manner in all situations.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Matric Qualification
Diploma or Technical degree in the engineering environment
2 Years’ experience in similar role
Computer literate
Basic electrical knowledge
Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
Experience with Freon systems will be advantageous.
Fluent in English both in verbal and written capacity.
Valid SA driver’s license with transport to and from work
Medically fit and physically able to work with heavy equipment and tools
Ammonia Safe Handling Certificate (Not required but preferable)
BBBEE Candidates only

Responsibilities:
-Servicing and commissioning of ammonia refrigeration systems including equipment such as compressors, pumps and evaporative condensers
-Communicate with clients and suppliers
-Available on a 24 hour, 7 days a week basis for unplanned call outs
-Quoting on equipment such as, but not limited to, repairs and spare parts
