REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN
(HVAC & Refrigeration)

A successful privately-owned group specializing in the design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and servicing of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems and equipment for the supermarket, food, petro-chemical, and agricultural industries is seeking to recruit and appoint a REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN at their offices based at Midrand.

Main purposes of position would be installing, servicing and repairing HVAC & Refrigeration Systems. This position requires servicing client’s equipment at the clients’ location including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repair. The candidate must reside in JHB and be a SA citizen. Must be willing to travel and have a Driver’s license. Own tools are essential.

Minimum Education Qualifications: ?
-Matric/ Grade 12 certificate ?
-Advantageous - A Trade Test in Refrigeration/ Industrial Refrigeration ?
-Advantageous - Safe handling of refrigerants license ?
-Advantageous - Safety training and first aid training

Minimum & Basic Experience Needed: Refrigeration technician to maintain commercial & industrial refrigeration systems including cold and chiller rooms etc. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Skills: Self-starter and able to work on own and within a team, have attention to detail and time management required to be on call and work flexible hours. Candidate must have good customer relations skills, the ability to read and understand technical material. Candidate must be able to work well under pressure. Precise timekeeping skills and record keeping (job cards and related paperwork) is essential.
