Expansion in a nationwide betting company has led this company to recruit for a professional to join their dynamic company. The culture can be described as vibrant, positive, flexible and young.
You will report directly to the Internal Audit Manager for South Africa and your role will be an important one. The betting industry is different to normal retail, the learning curve is higher and this role suits someone who is a natural problem solver with an inclination to general operational ideas and implementation. You will help develop others in order to grow the business brand.
As this is a 24/7 business, you will required to work rotational shifts which include 2 Saturday’s per month and longer hours. It’s imperative that you have a driver’s license for this reason.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cash counts
• Perform compliance audits
• Perform audits around paperwork and daily recons
• Stock counts and fixed asset counts
• Checking and reconciling of tickets at branch level
• Reporting daily observations
• Assisting the branch to clear queries
• Reporting to management
• Ad hoc tasks and requests

Requirements:

• 2 years clerical experience which includes auditing experience. Person’s studying towards internal auditing qualification preferable. Articles a huge benefit.
• MS Office proficient (especially Excel)
• Bookmaker/gambling experience is very advantageous
• Matric with maths
• Driver’s license
