RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced REGIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTRE MANAGER position based in the Riverhorse Valley area, Durban.


JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Valid Code 08 driver’s license.
Diploma or Degree in Logistics / Warehouse Management or relevant qualification.
English speaking candidate (must be able to speak, read and write English competently).
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
8yrs+ relevant experience in a Warehouse/Stores/Distribution environment.
5yrs+ previous managerial experience.
Previous experience in a WMS and RF scanning environment.
Knowledge of Axapta and routing systems would be an added advantage.
OHS / SHE experience.
IR / disciplinary experience.
Monitoring and managing warehouse staff performance.
Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the department to ensure that targets are met.
Responding to and communicating with customer complaints.
Keeping stock control systems and procedures up to date.
Ensure optimum warehouse performance by managing and control of the WMS system.
Ensuring that stock levels are accurate.
Producing management reports with statistics on warehousing issues.
Managing warehouse supervisors.
Maintaining health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
Overseeing the planned maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Ensuring correct stock rotation, obsolete stock and quality of stock.
Manage stock take.
Oversee logistics.
Recruitment and training of employees.
Must be able to work after hours when required.
