Our multi-national client, one of SA’s market leaders in Outsourced Services industry, is looking for a Regional Manager to join their team in East London. Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible to manage assigned business and operational teams within the region in accordance with sector strategy, contract specifications and statutory Regulations to ensure profitability, sustainability and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage regional team and ensure operational issues relevant to the business are resolved
• Manage units to ensure profitability, sustainability as well as secure future business
• Ensure contractual obligations are met and manage contracts within Service Level Agreements
• Manage and support diverse team of Unit and Project Managers within vast region to ensure realization of strategic goals
• Facilitate training and development of junior management in order to improve on service offering and maintain relevance
• Ensure labor force planning is adequately done and managed in relation to budget
• Ensure unit costs and expenditure, within region, are tightly managed and accounted for
• Ensure fixed and other assets are managed and regularly audited
• Manage and exceed client expectations in line with statutory Health, Safety and Environmental policies
• Attend all relevant meetings with client and management team and ensure communication to units
• Conduct regular risk assessments of the entire facility

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric
• Tertiary qualification in Food Services Management/Hospitality
• At least 5 years’ experience in a Unit Manager role
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager or Key Accounts Manager
• Experience in a similar role within the Education sector is advantageous
• Housekeeping knowledge is advantageous
• Experience in costing, budgets, forecasts and invoicing is essential
• Experience in highly commercial and sensitive markets
• Experience of working within brand guidelines to deliver results
• Proven experience in managing successful teams
• Good knowledge of South African and Industry specific Labour Laws

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
• Excellent knowledge of the catering environment is essential
• Excellent knowledge of Catering and Housekeeping in the Education environment
• Knowledge of managing boarding schools is advantageous
• Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety policies and processes relevant to the catering industry

Salary: R25 000 CTC (includes Provident Fund contribution), Petrol- and Cellphone allowance
