Regional Manager – WESTERN CAPE PROVINCE
Role and responsibilities:
a. To facilitate growth of the Playa brand by finding premises and opening new betting shops in the Western Cape Province. This includes but is not limited to:

• Finding premises within strategic geographic locations
• Liaising and negotiating with landlords to secure premises
• Submitting the application to the gambling board for the premises
• Assisting and monitoring the shop fitting and construction of the betting shop
• All other contingencies that will lead to the opening and laying of the first bet in the betting shop.

b. Manage the operations of the betting shops and overseeing betting branch managers. This includes but is not limited to:

• Training and mentoring branch managers
• Ordering supplies, equipment, and all other products needed to run the daily operations of the betting shop
• Handling of all gambling board queries and correspondence
• Assisting the compliance team with gambling board compliance queries
• The hiring and managing of all betting shop staff
• Assisting HR with specific queries relating to staff
• All other contingencies that relate to betting shop operations

c. Marketing of the Playa brand. This includes:

• Overseeing promotions that are running in the betting shops
• Promoting and driving customers to Playa stores in the relevant areas
• Implementing strategies and campaigns to assist the betting shop to reach its branch targets
• Assisting and training branch managers to convert retail customers to online customers
