Salary: Negotiable
Location: V&A Waterfront, Cape Town
Employment: Permanent

Job description
To be responsible for a profitable and professional cleaning service in a geographic area and to ensure client satisfaction/ business retention whilst upholding the company policies and procedures
(Duties are expected to include, although not limited to)

• To ensure that the facility adheres to all requirements in line with statutory Health, safety and Environmental policies of Ethics and procedures
• Monitor the costs to ensure that the labour budget is not exceeded without the Regional Manager's/Regional General Managers authority.
• Ensuring that the correct implementation of the Disciplinary and Grievance procedure is in place in the Region
• To appraise staff by way of verbal direction and performance appraisal for supervisory level and above
• To prepare contingency plan for strikes and stay away.
• To carry out regular inspections at all sites and review and analyse complaints received.
• To attend regular meetings with clients. Where these meetings need to be minuted, this to be done and copies of the minutes distributed.
• All problems to receive prompt action.
• Continually look for ways of improving client contact and promote the company's full range of non-recurring business.
• Ensure adequate controls over all equipment in accordance with fixed asset policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the on-going training and development needs of all staff.

Requirements
• Matric
• Post school education would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years management experience in a similar industry.
• Exposure to industrial relations on a shop floor level.
• A good working knowledge of HSE.

• Good numeric and administrative skills
• Good planning, leading, negotiation and organisational skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work flexible hours as required.
• Fluency in English essential
• Fluency in Afrikaans advantageous
