REGIONAL MANAGER - COMPANY OFFERING TRAINING SERVICES- SHORT COURSES,ARTISANTRY

Position:

REGIONAL MANAGER

Inherent requirements:

Relevant tertiary qualifications
Minimum 3 years’ experience within the training industry
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial role
Excellent people skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff
Motivated with a strong focus on sales and excellent customer service
Good communications skills (both verbal and written)
Other requirements and skills:

Entrepreneurial skills
Knowledge and understanding of profit and loss accounts

Duties and responsibilities:

Responsible for services offered within the region
Responsible for the regional Profit and Loss with the primary focus on revenue and sales as well as approval and management of costs and ultimate profit
Recruitment of trainers, facilitators on a continuous basis
Ensure good rates are negotiated prior to the commencement of training
Facilitate regional “open days” within your respective region to recruit
and source trainers

Ensure trainers are inducted with company policies and procedures
Ensure you attend the first training session of the recently recruited trainer to provide input on the trainer facilitation skills
Ensure contracts are completed accurately, signed and the relevant documents are attached as per the checklist
Submit the trainer’s contracts and supporting documents to the
National Operations Manager for final verification

Ensure all facilitators, assessor and moderator documents within your respective region is updated or a regular basis and in order
Ensure trainers adhere to and utilize the correct procedures and documentation at branch level
Conduct disciplinary procedures with trainers if issues arise
Identify trainers, facilitators, assessor and moderators that requires upskilling and source training for them
Continuously extend the scope of trainers
Ensure facilitators are qualified to facilitate the required course material

Duties and responsibilities:

Ensure assessors are accredited to assess the required course material
Ensure moderators are accredited to moderate the required course material
Request feedback from the trainers/facilitators a day prior and on the day of the training
Monitor, support and manage all permanent and contract trainers’ performance with regards to paperwork, facilitation and personal presentation (i.e. personal appearance as well as communicating with clients and learners)
Ensure allocated trainers are on standby should a need arises for the replace a trainer that is unable to attend scheduled training
Ensure trainers/facilitators submit their completed paperwork to the Scheduler timeously
Conduct weekly spot checks to trainers/facilitators on site to instill and maintain quality
Ensure trainers have adequate uniforms and PPE and place orders accordingly
Ensure trainers/facilitators are in branded uniform during scheduled training sessions
Ensure trainer/facilitator payments queries are attended to and directed to the finance department
Ensure trainers/facilitators Acknowledgement of Debt (AOD’s) are submitted to head office timeously for final approval and processing of payments
Review, follow-up and submit trainer timesheets and/or payments to head office on the agreed deadline dates to ensure payment is processed timeously
Ensure booking forms are completed in accurately all training schedules and is included in training packs
Ensure all training packs are quality assured when handed in by trainers and passed onto the administrator for processing
Compile training packs timeously and accurately prior commencement of scheduled training
Ensure training material are couriered to the relevant branches timeously
Ensure the training venue, training pack and training equipment is prepared prior commencement of training (on-site training as well as off-site training)
Report on any issues/queries a client may address on training related issues to management and ensure issues/queries are resolved in a professional and efficient manner timeously
Handing in of all supplier forms for new Vendors to the relevant Short Course Project Manager in order to be approved and loaded on the relevant system(s)
Handing in of all invoices to be paid out to Supplier(s) on time to the relevant Short Course Project Manager in order to submit for payment

Duties and responsibilities:

Daily scheduling of trainers for training required by all branches in Gauteng
Assist with internal moderation when requested and adhere to internal moderation deadlines given
Communicate constantly with the Branch Administrator and Short Course Project Manager
Adhere to the codes of conduct of the Company and the SETA’s
Keep informed on SETA information, SAQA information, B-BBEE information and similar that can impact our business
Promote the Company and its training in a positive and professional manner
Address and solve client queries and complaints immediately
Respond timeously to requests from clients or sales
Liaise continuously with client and sales consultant about any changes with training
Check all learner documentation has been submitted for processing and follow up on a regular basis with client about outstanding documentation
Following up on account opening for new clients and ensuring no training takes place before the account has been opened
Quality assure all documents prior to sending out to clients
