A large, leading financial services group’s Retail division seeks Regional Managers across SA to manage the operations of a region, driving sales, customer service, excelling across all areas of responsibility and ensuring the delivery of client solutions in a face-to-face channel.

Key Requirements:

• A relevant qualification
• RE5 (non-neg)
• From 1 year life insurance industry experience
• From 5 years’ senior/middle management experience in a similar role
• Excellent sales performance record
• Experience in managing a client service environment
• Computer literate
• Valid driver license and own transport

Key Outputs:

• Meet performance standards and production targets for your region through Sales and Service Managers.
• Manage the viability and profitability levels of the region through Sales and Service Managers.
• Maintain high levels of client retention and premium persistency.
• Prepare and control operational expense and production budgets.
• Optimise market access strategy.
• Implement and manage the operational plans for the region that is aligned to the overall strategy.
• Develop, implement and manage a risk management strategy for the region.
• Manage the effective and efficient delivery/implementation of all projects impacting on the region.
• Identify trends, opportunities, threats, and environmental influences related to the region.
• Research and build competitor and market intelligence for the region.
• Ensure legislative and internal compliance within the region.
• Ensure efficient client service and administration processes are implemented, maintained and managed within the region.
• Implement and manage strategies that support Treating Customer Fairly (TCF).
• Develop new sales opportunities and increase penetration levels.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement strategies to retain staff.
• Implement performance measures.
• Recruitment and Selection of employees for the region.
• Coach, mentor and establish employees in the region.
