Job Description:

Call on both on consumption and off consumption outlets within the Gauteng (Pretoria) and North West Province.
Building of effective long term relationships with customers and relevant stakeholders to achieve results and also promoting the brands to consumers at selected events
Working closely with the Brand Ambassador to build and enhance already established customer relationships with the outlets that fall in their area of responsibility
Ability to identify potential and sustainable business opportunities for the portfolio of Méthode Cap Classique and still wines across both the On and Off Trade Channel as well as potential private customers
Selling and promoting Méthode Cap Classique and still wines
Optimize all resources to achieve sales targets (sales support, promotional stock and items and time) and resolve issues quickly
Execute all promotions in line with the national/regional promotional plan
Responsibility for implementing and optimizing the sales targets and growing the market share in line with the targets that have been set
Monthly reporting against agreed targets and of competitive activities

Qualifications:

A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous (preferably marketing / sales)
A sound wine knowledge
Computer literate (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
A minimum of 4 years working experience in a similar/related position of employment
If and where possible a solid and established customer base in these respective areas
The successful applicant will preferably be resident in the Pretoria area
Professional communication (written and verbal) as well as personal interfacing skills, resulting in a high level of credibility, trust and respect with both internal and external stakeholders (trade customers and consumers)
Have a strong ability to function independently without supervision as well as part of a team
Have good self-motivation and respond well to instruction from management
Confident enough to provide timeous feedback to team and internal customers on areas for improvement and efficiencies, completion of activities and any other business related challenges that require quick and sound solutions
A passionate and positively disposed individual
Likeability and a bespoke appearance, as one would expect of a representative of a high end wine portfolio
Valid Code 08 driver’s license without endorsements
Basic computer skills (MS Office suite – Excel/Word and Outlook)
Solid business acumen and understanding
A passion for customer service
A good understanding of customer relationships and needs analysis
Strong negotiating skills
A high level of energy as this position involves working long, flexible hours, including some evenings, weekend and public holidays when required.
Prepared to travel when required for meetings and conferences as well as a minimum of monthly travel to North West Province
