NTRODUCTION:

Vacancy exist for an experienced entrepreneurial business manager to manage a regional sales branch / area for a well-known local manufacturer of abrasives products part of a global group. The Branch Manager must be resident in the Pine Town or surrounding area with a proven track record in successfully dealing with manufacturing industries, engineering and retail concerns.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Manage a branch of direct reportees.
Responsible for managing the Eastern Cape sales area.
Assist the National Sales Manager in directing and motivating the allocated sales team in order to achieve the overall regional sales objectives.
Manage the daily activities of the direct reportees including but not limited to; call planning, call reporting, quotation processing and other company processes.
Conduct regular calls with the allocated sales team in order to assist with customer relationship management, technical support and or resource allocation requests.
Actively manage, develop and mentor direct reportees
Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis on existing and potential customers as part of the sales process.
Conduct cold calling at new/potential customers along with a focused growth strategy at the existing customers in the allocated sales area.
Analyse market potentials, track sales and status reports.
Generate management reports on customer needs and competitor activities.
Meet and exceed sales budgets (volume & revenue).
Actively manage the branch debtor’s book for the allocated sales portfolio.
Establish, promote and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
Participation / representation at open days/trade shows with the ability to conduct physical product demonstrations.
Managing the branch stock processes to minimise stock losses.
Managing the branch sales and expenses to ensure a profitable return.
Manage a personal sales book by building customer relationships and meeting set targets.
Ensure adherence to company policy and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 as an absolute minimum, a valid driver’s license and sober habits.
Applicants 5-7 years proven sales experience in a technical field.
A technical qualification and strong leadership skills would be an advantage.
Entrepreneurial flair with excellent time management skills.
Must be MS Office intermediate level user.
Must have strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Advanced knowledge of abrasive products and processes would be highly advantageous.
Integrity, credibility, trustworthiness and a professional appearance is non-negotiable.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIREMENT
Proven experience in CRM Management, call planning and sales reporting is a must.

Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritise
Must have strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to communicate, interact and resound with both shop floor employees and management
