Regional Sales Manager needed in Limpopo

Requirements:
-Matric or equivalent qualification
-Technical trade background or tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering will be an advantage
-Engineering sales management and marketing background
-Valid driver’s license
-Minimum 5 years work related experience in Mining or associated markets.
-Must be competent in: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
-Proven technical sales ability incorporating marketing techniques, implementing strategic initiatives, operating plans and budgets
-Strong interpersonal, networking, presentation, time management and business writing skills, combined with sound product knowledge
-Must be In good health, able to travel and operate independently

Personal Attributes:
-Decisive with leadership qualities, responsible and an ability to create a team environment to motivate and encourage.
-Confident in public speaking.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Undertake regular visits to customers to develop new opportunities and verify the attainment of customer satisfaction.
-With the assistance of the relevant business unit, identify opportunities; grow sales and market share of mining products within the region.
-Regularly assess the current market position from report data and sales personnel
-Take action as required on performance to budget and other relevant benchmark objectives.
-Develop regional plans for the growth and development of the South African sales regions and overall sales in Africa.
-Provide or facilitate management reports, budget forecasts or other data that may be requested by the Sales Manager- Africa.
-Co-ordinate the involvement of the manufacturing and product development teams in assisting sales as required.
-Assist in the preparation of the African GET and Crawler Systems sales budget.
-Advise senior management of anticipated changes in customer needs or market direction and assist in defining the future needs of these markets.
-Play an active role in developing market opportunities through product and technical development.

Additional info:
The position will be based in the Limpopo region of South Africa and addition travel to Botswana for similar reasons will be undertaken.
The position, based in Limpopo will mean the incumbent will be working from home. The necessary equipment will be supplied by the company to make this happen.
Training will be undertaken by the company’s head office

Remuneration:
R750,000 to R900,000 per annum
