My client is a multinational pharmaceutical company who seeks to employ a Regional sales manager.

Major Responsibilities

Set vision and strategy for territory.
Achievement of sales, market share and growth objectives for the territory.
In field coaching and mentoring of 14 x Doctor Detailing & Hospital sales personnel.
Responsible for Personnel management ,monitoring and evaluating the performance of all field service personnel including the recruitment, training, coaching, development, and performance management.
Submission of required reports within set deadlines.
Achieve & exceed required team call rates/coverage/ Days In Field targets & all other pertinent Sales Force Effectiveness inputs.
Build & Maintain key opinion leader relations.
Compile and update Sales Operating Plan for territory.
Sales force recruitment, motivation, development, training, retention and succession planning.
Actively seek, identify, analyze, and present new business opportunities.
Assist Marketing team with forecasting
Monitoring sales activities and expense budgets.
Provide leadership, guidance & support for the Sales team
Collaborate with all key stakeholders (Com Ex, Marketing, Training, Medical etc)

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Experience:

Minimum 3 years Sales Management experience or other relevant management experience within Commercial field
Minimum 5 years sales experience in Pharmaceutical Industry is mandatory.
Strong performance track record – AE performance rating for 3 consecutive years is essential.
Strong sales track record and sound organizational skills.
Ability to lead and mentor a sales team.
Proven leadership competencies.
Strong interpersonal relations, customer focus & sound analytical skills.
Able to make difficult decisions.
Integrity, initiative and adaptability
Established KOL relationships (Gauteng an advantage)

Education:
Tertiary qualification in Human sciences, Business, Management preferred.
