We are looking for an experienced REGIONAL SALES MANAGER to join the team of a well-known Lodge Group.
Responsible for maintaining agents (Western Cape, Kwa Zulu Natal), fostering relationships with new agents and creating new business opportunities to support the Group’s accommodation revenue budget. The position is based in Cape Town.
Key Focus:
Building and maintaining relationships with Key Account local agents based in Western Cape, KZN & Garden Route
Domestic operators’ strategy - develop a strategy per Key Account to maintain and acquire new business
Identify local corporate accounts that can use Cape Town properties & build a relationship with these accounts and acquire this segment of business
Connect with the CT production companies who could use CT properties for long stays during filming in CT
Connect and build relationships with other sales managers- gather market intel from them & feedback to Sales team
Keep database up to date, relevant information per account, consultant information, contract database with correct contacts for distribution
Product updates, queries, opportunities, building relationships & Product training;
Setting up of site inspections for local agents and hosting
Reservations follow up, lead management & group enquiry management
Guest complaints in conjunction with Property, Trade Relationship Manager responsible for International account involved
Local brochure features
Contributing towards the establishment of an annual Sales Plan & providing updates;
Preparation of Sales trips, flights, accommodation, transfers, car hire and appointments;
Maintaining expenditure budget, database and records of sales generated;
Attending various meeting, sales connect, post trip feedback & other relevant meetings
Coordinating the sales effort with other departments including Marketing, Res & Finance
Meeting site inspections at CC/MQ whilst on-site inspection at the hotels
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills:
Grade 12 (essential); Degree/Diploma in Sales Management advantageous
Minimum of 4 years hospitality experience; 2 years sales experience advantageous
MS Office Suite; PANStrat (advantageous)
Valid Code 08 driver’s license & own reliable transport
Sound product and market knowledge advantageous
Salary Package: Market Related + additional benefits
