REGISTERED MEDICAL & SURGICAL NURSE (Qualified Sister)

Appointment: Permanent, fulltime
Area: Pretoria, Gauteng
Salary: R 17 000-00 – R 18 000-00+ (Negotiable depending on experience)
Qualification/s: Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent and completed relevant nursing qualification

Only Registered nurse applications - no auxiliary or staff nurses will be taken into consideration for this position.
Applicant must be fluent in Afrikaans and English (read, write and speak)
Will mainly be working day shifts, occasionally night shift may apply
Position immediate available
Provide care to patients after illness, injury or surgery or with acute health conditions or patients who are being treated with pharmaceuticals
Record, assess and observe patient progress, reactions and symptoms
Assesses needs of patient and develop plan of care based on assessment
Check vital signs, give injections and perform catherisations and Point of Care Testing
Coordinate referrals and interagency communication
Manage pain
Monitor patients in restraint and seclusion and maintain patient safety
Determine medical or psychiatric emergency need and provide intervention
Perform related duties as assigned
