Join the team of specialist and acquire new skills. We are seeking a Registered Nurse with theatre recovery experience to work in the theatre unit at one of the prestigious private hospital known for its reputation of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit of health records to ensure compliance
• Ensure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately
• Keep abreast of current research in the discipline
• Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities
• Contribute to the holistic care of patients
• Attend handover of report at shift commencement
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care

Applicants for this position must :

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
• Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.
• Relevant experience in cardiac surgery would be advantageous
• Ventilator experience (advantageous)
• Knowledge of post anaesthetic recovering technique
