• Patient assessments and advise on care required by the client

• Evaluation of care rendered by health care givers; required for various Frail Care Units

• Liaison and feedback to the residents’ family members on the progress, condition of their parents/family member, etc. This will be in the form of personal or telephonic contact sessions when required by a family member;

• Staff training and development;

• Attention to clinical incidents (Poor performance incidents) – this will entail the investigation and management when a nursing care incident is reported.

• Advise on the nursing care plan to be implemented for each resident, where specific care demands are present for a specific resident.

• Maintain all records of Clinical training to staff (for Skills Development purposes);

• Labour- and industrial relations incident referral to human resources department

• Direct and indirect marketing of employer’s services to increase client base.

Inherent job requirements:

• Strong, bilingual professional nurse who will be able to function independently

The job requires a great deal of flexibility to accommodate the needs of the clients

• Must have own transport

• Clinical Experience of at least 5 years in geriatric nursing is essential

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Management experience will be advantageous

• Area of work : Western Cape (Northern and Central suburbs)
