Location: Gauteng Region - Rotation
Salary: R35-45k CTC dep on experience - Permanent position

Purpose of Position:

Manage the staff, clients and deliverables of the branch ensuring that it is aligned with the overall objectives of the organization and the resources are fully utilized to ensure optimal delivery of services to our clients. (First year is to rotate every 3 months to each of the 4 BU’s to get properly inducted. Thereafter, will be placed where required for the amount of time required until a permanent operational position becomes available). This is an exciting opportunity, “sponging” up information from different managers, “floating” between operations and gaining knowledge and knowing you will never be stagnant.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate
• B.Com/Industrial Engineering Qualification (Advantage given to IE candidates) or Post Graduate Diploma.
• Experience in quality improvement initiatives / methodologies (Such as Six Sigma, Lean, TQM)
• Advanced: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Must have a valid, unendorsed Code 08 drivers license with own reliable transport.
• Able to work overtime / shifts should it be needed.
• Flexible to travel/relocate between BU’s and locations.
• Financial, Sales, Operational, HR and IR skills are essential.
• 2 year experience in the logistics or courier environment 2 year previous business and or operational management experience Excellent admin skills required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff.
• Ability to do MS Excel Spreadsheets with Pivot Tables, charts and formulas Knowledge of the LRA and BCEA and exposure to IR matters.

Duties:

• Manage the delivery of the organizations objectives through communication, measurement and motivation of the staff.
• Interface with shared functions ensuring continues cooperation and interactions with these functions.
• Manage and deliver on clients commitments based on local, national and global strategy.
• Manage cost and productivity within the branch ensuring that efficiency and effectiveness is at the order of the day.
• Ensure compliance to internal and external controls and other KPI’s set at global and local level.
• Deliver on the bottom line budget commitment to ensure that the business unit budget is met.
• Identify opportunities and risks within the business that may impact the business environment and ability to deliver to shareholder commitments Managing people issues, employee performance and growth to create a sustainable business environment.
• Adherence to deadlines and schedules.
• Knowledge and exposure to IR processes (framing charges, initiating, chairing hearings) Managing and controlling resources and risk management.
• Administrative duties relevant to the position. Interacting with customers at all levels – in person and telephonically.
• Maintain existing systems processes and controls with continuous improvement.
