Our client is a fast-growing international software company playing a leading role in solutions for Governance Risk and Compliance. We are looking for an individual to play an important role as a Research Analyst – Business Development in our Sales Team.
The Research Analyst will support a high-level business development group with a focus on generating qualified leads and business opportunities for the company’s GRC offerings.
Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Research customer information for the compilation of Account Plans.
- Prospecting new business sales meetings through cold calling, web research, LinkedIn and qualifying potential prospects.
- Provide research and information to the team in the identification, pursuit, and capture of business opportunities across segmental offerings and industries
- Scheduling of meetings.
- Assisting with the preparation of proposals and presentations.
- Following up on proposals and assist in closing deals.
- Coordinating and completing Tenders.
- Assisting in the sales process, supporting the sales team.
- Building of prospect databases
- Updating of internal CRM system
- Manage travel itineraries
- Assisting with planning, organising and managing events and marketing campaigns
- Providing data and reports to help the sales team
Necessary skills and education:
- Grade 12
- Minimum 5 years’ internal sales experience
- Sales related courses (Preferably previous research experience)
Personal attributes:
- Previous internal Sales Support experience on enterprise software sales
- Lateral thinker/connector.
- Ability to leverage networks.
- Exposure to governance, risk and compliance subject matter an advantage.
