JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: Performs as engineer, or engineering technician in support of engineering research and application functions involving observation, study, design, experimentation and commercialization within the Technical Department in support of Operations and Sales and Marketing

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
• Conclude detailed new product designs as per specifications and commercial viability
• Assess new projects viability and perform multi-disciplinary and integrated project engineering functions (plan, research, execute, budget, test)
• Analyse manufacturing facilities and processes
• Assist with the specification of machines for production.
• Contribute to the improvement of manufacturing processes
• Assist with the commissioning of new machines
• Assist Maintenance Department in continuously aligning maintenance schedules to best practice or OEM recommendations.
• Compilation of support documentation for few products with Sales & Marketing
• Ensure the execution of product development and projects according to ISO standards
• Investigate and report on product failures, complaints and quality non-compliance issue.
• Provide performance specifications for processes and machinery.
• Provide technical support to sales and marketing teams.
• Undertake technical investigations and recommend solutions for poor performance of machines.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
• B. Eng. Mechanical or B. Eng. Mining

EXPERIENCE:
• 5 Years related work experience.
