Our client is looking for a Research and Development Chemist.
The candidate must:
Comply with all Quality Standards, e.g. ISO, GMP, etc Quality Manuals
Develop policy, implementation & maintenance of GLP
Procurement
Sourcing samples for new products WI007
Costing of formulations for customers when requested by Technical Director WI037
Assign codes for new raw materials with relevant stakeholders WI009
Research & Development
Prepare research & development samples for contract & in-house projects WI039
Compile & review project documentation as per Technical Director WI039
Updating completed projects on shared
Monitor stability of products, suitability of expiry dates & product storage conditions for new products
Re-test dates timeously for expired stock
Research raw materials, packaging & technical data
Research, develop & formulate new products against agreed time frame per product
Prepare Batch Manufacturing Documents for new formulations WI035
Upscale lab batches to manufacturing batches
Manage internal & external testing WI032
Compile COC’s for finished product
Send samples for external testing WI032
Documentation & Filing
Compile and manage COC’s for local & export customers
Health & Safety
Attend Health & Safety Committee meetings
Conduct monthly health & safety audits as per requirements from H&S Committee POL002
Identify risks Risk log
General
Carry out functions as required by Technical Director
Matric and Tertiary
