VACANT POSITION – Reservationist Bayshore Inn requires the position of a Reservationist. A minimum of Grade 12 is required. The successful applicant will have leastthree years of broad-based hospitality industry experience of which at leastone year has been spent in the Front Office department or in Reservations. DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Must be able to work shiftsSources, receives, enters and controls reservations information in the reservations systemNeeds to have strong group experienceCollecting information when taking reservations in terms of Guaranteed Booking Policy.Maintains and processes Group Booking files efficientlyEstablishes a follow-up procedure for all bookings in order to obtain necessary information prior to the guests ‘arrival.Researches correspondence and reservations to supply leads to the S&M departmentMust have good planning and organizational skillsAbility to work accurately under pressure with attention to detailCompile quotes, contracts, invoices and ensure payments are receivedExcellent communication skills in EnglishMust be well groomedWorking knowledge of Opera is essential.
