A vacancy exits for a Reservationist

The position requires managing the rooms’ inventory to ensure maximum Hotel occupancy at the highest possible rates.

The incumbent would be required to:

1. Manage rooms inventory to ensure maximum Hotel occupancy at highest possible rates
2. Compile sales & marketing statistics with regard to key accounts and rooms sold
3. Monitor and analyse trends
4. Ensure smooth running of Reservations with respect to prompt check – ins and prompt response to guests
5. Ensure accuracy of reservation information
6. Updating rates accurately
7. Be an integral member of the Hotel team and contribute to the overall Hotel operations

Applicants would need to demonstrate proven skills particularly in planning and organising skills, attention to detail, guest orientation. The ability to sell rooms and use initiative area key to the success of this position
