Looking for a Reservations Manager for Tour Operator
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the travel industry
Minimum 3 years managing reservations consultants
Very good product knowledge of the areas that we sell
Ability to travel
Flexibility to work longer working hours
Previous skill in training.
Own transport
Good command of the English language (extra international languages also a benefit)

Assess each reservations consultants to learn/understand their capabilities
Assess and set quarterly targets for each consultant based on previous performance
Assess and amend or add new systems in order for the department to function at an optimum
Daily monitoring of bookings in Tourplan using Tourplan reports
Provide bi-weekly and monthly reports on forward bookings, consultant stats
Ensure consultants are adhering to the company policy of:
12 hour turn around
Accuracy/Attention to detail
Providing detailed information (both written and visual) on all quotes and confirmations
Collecting payment timeously
Providing suppliers with correct information and deposits timeously
Liaising with Ground Handling for last minute bookings and changes
Providing accurate documentation
Upselling
Following up on quotes
Dealing with customer complaints by liaising with the various divisions to receive accurate reports
Liaising with the Data Capturer to ensure that all information placed in the Tourplan system is correct
Creating relationships with our suppliers to obtain the best performance from them
Ensuring that the consultants have the product knowledge
Product Training by various suppliers in the office
Creating Fam Trips to the various destinations
Monthly training sessions where a particular destination has been chosen
Provide ongoing training in Tourplan and Wetu to ensure that the system is being used correctly
